Default Stompin Tom - final farewell

Canadian country-folk legend Stompin' Tom Connors died Wednesday at age 77. A few days earlier the musician penned a letter to fans that he wanted published after his death, his spokesman said. Here is a copy of the letter published on the singer's official website:

I'd post a link to one of his songs, but YouTube links don't usually work for me. But, I'd have a hard time picking just one anyway. I still remember the first time I saw him on tv. Of course he was singing Bud the Spud. And it might have been new.

The first one to pop into my head is ALWAYS the hockey song, I've loved it since I was a kid I'll try linking it, but I doubt it'll work, since I'm a n00b!

A Canadian icon.........the good ole hockey game, Lester the lobster, and a bunch more. Newfoundlanders loved him dearly.

I read the second volume of his autobiography several years ago -- an interesting and colorful character!

I always liked "Bud the Spud from the Bright Red Mud" (goin' down the highway smilin')!
The potatoes are big in the back of Bud's rig (they're from Prince Edward Island!)
Can anybody post that one? - like the other lady above I have a hard time posting YouTube videos. Thanks in advance if someone can manage it
