It's hard to pick a favorite, but that one is definitely in the running. The 1990 version.

I don't really like the reaper cover, or the good vs evil battle cover. Of the many available, I like this one best

I have these 2 copies, a paper back and hard back (which was bought for me), and both have pretty crap front covers.

The one with the people dead on the road reminds me too much of The Happening

Yeah, I know what you mean. I guess it was supposed to represent good versus evil, maybe? Here's my cover: Click image for larger version.

It's real. It's the limited edition done by Doubleday when they released the updated/expanded edition in the 90's. It's always kept in the original black 'coffin' wooden box, inside a glass-fronted bookcase. I hardly ever even take it out to look at it as I don't want to spoil it! It really is a gorgeous production for a book, simply beautiful inside and out. I had the chance when it was released to buy one, but didn't, and finally got this copy last year (from David at Betts Books)- it cost me an arm and leg, but I'm glad I bought it. Collecting King books is a very expensive pleasure!!
