Buried (2010) with Ryan Reynolds. One of my favorites from last year.

On my own over the weekend so I finally (!!) watched Memoirs of a Geisha. It was beautiful - the cinematography was just amazing! And, yes, I cried

I watched a couple of horror movies this weekend.

Train - the worst of the flicks I saw. A torture porn movie with Thora Birch. I hated this movie.

The Burrowers - surprising blend of western and horror. Has Clancy Brown from Shawshank in it, and Doug Hutchison from Green Mile. The monsters in it look kinda lame, but still decent overall.

Trick 'r Treat - my favorite of the three. Some clever writing, and it's not as utterly depressing as The Burrowers. It doesn't take itself so seriously. I'm amazed that this film didn't get a theatrical release. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes fun horror flicks. A hidden jewel!

I saw Inception on the airplane on Friday. It was good, but I definately need a rewatch. Pretty sure I missed things I should have seen.

We watched Case 39 and Devil. Pretty good horror films. You will jump once or twice, peek through your fingers and an eek or two might escape. Good fun!

I watched The Langoliers on steaming. I liked it, but I wish they would make a remake of it. The Langoliers looked too much like pacman to me. But I had fun watching it.

    "The King's Speech."

Amazing movie, I truly can't fault it in any way. No need to rely on special effects or overly dramatic storylines, just a true story portrayed by extremely talented actors. If this movie doesn't scoop up an armful of awards at the Oscars then I'll wonder if they really are "fixed." And that's all I will say...as y'all know how much I waffle and will end up writing a full review, ha.

Hannibal (it's no Silence of the Lambs but the infamous kitchen scene alone makes it worth the price of admission)
    Mr. Deeds
    Home Alone

Satan's Little Helper. I've been on a cheesy horror film kick lately. It was a terrible movie, but it had its moments. Certainly not as bad as Train. This movie had a sense of humor about itself, which counts a lot with me.
