Just finished a reread of The Shining, prepping for Dr. Sleep-soooo excited!! I'm going to watch The Shining on DVD tonight also. I started NOS4A2 and am loving it so far-hooked from the beginning just like when I started Heart-Shaped Box!!

Still slogging through my reread of The Shining (I realized recently that in my "later" years I am just no longer a rereader) in prep for Doctor Sleep. Next week I hope to start Margaret Atwood's latest, MaddAdam, the final installment in her brilliant dystopian trilogy that started with Oryx and Crake and continued with The Year of the Flood.

Started Light of the World by Burke and he grabbed me by the throat with his first words. The family and Clete are vacationing in Montana and someone is shooting arrows at Alafair and Gretchen is coming to visit. This is going to be a wonderful ride!

I ordered this one sometime back on recommendations, not realizing it was a part of a series, then slowly worked my way through a reading list for months before starting it. I just recently finished it, and really enjoyed it very much; and have come to respect R.M. as an author and story teller. The story is set in one of the historical time periods I do not fully appreciate (1699), which is mostly the ones with men wearing wigs and tri corner hats. The story started slow and built drama very well. I liked it so much, I ordered the next one already!
