I've just finished Clive Barker's "Book of Blood" volumes 1-3 and 4-6. Again. They really are brilliant, some absolutely way out creepy stuff in there, each story just long enough to take up a good 15 mins reading time, and a ruddy good read. Really do recommend them.

I really do like the old Barker stuff- B o B, Damnation Game, Hellraiser etc. but stopped reading him when he went into the fantasy direction. He definately breathed some new life into the horror genre!! Made everybody involved stand up and say 'What the hey???????' Met him a few times when he was doing signing tours, he's a pretty decent guy, always willing to do whatever he can to make his fans happy. Just don't walk up to him, pull out a razor, cut your arm with it and ask him to use your blood to sign something- he doesn't appreciate that much. (no, it wasn't me, but someone did once do that to him and yes, they were escorted off the premises)

I finished "Boy's Life" by Robert McCammon...good story to the end. (Although I wondered what became of Vernon at the end!) I was thinking of picking up another by this author at the library today, but instead, spied a copy of "The Twelve" on one of the shelves right as I walked in. So, I checked out it and "The Passage", and am going to curl up with those for the next week or so. I really enjoy reading this thread, because it's introduced me to authors and books I probably would never have found on my own, most all of which I've enjoyed. Until later.

King's "Low Men in Yellow Coats" from "Hearts in Atlantis." Has to be one of the best SK stories I've ever read.

I am trying to finish up The Panther by DeMille and then back to Queen of Bedlam by McCammon.

Just finished the Codex by Douglas Preston and the third book in the Game of Thrones series, and now I'm starting in on The Wind Through the Keyhole. It's pretty great to be back in Mid-World again.

I'm currently reading 'bout six different books at the same time on different ereaders (kindle, sony prs-350 and ipad). Two of which is Stephen King's 11/22/63 and Time Travelers Of The Bible: How Hebrew Prophets Shattered The Barriers Of Time-Space by Gary Stearman.
