it's going to be worse for southern Maine along the coast. Has been snowing since about 7:30 this morning here and I guessed about 3" at the office but we've just had a bit of a break in the snow and the sun is breaking through the clouds. Of course, that happened right after I panicked because the snow was coming down so hard and decided to go home to finish up the day here so am now feeling silly.

Never feel silly. It is way better to be safe than sorry. And besides, it's always calm before the nasty nasty hits. Many states are closing down public transportation. Just be thankful you are home.

And I'm still working and getting as much done as I would have at the office, so there's that.

Plus you're at home. It started here at around 6:00am. Not doing much now, but it's supposed to come down pretty heavy this evening.

How did everyone else make out? We got close to two feet I guess, but the darn wind was howling so I'm not really sure what our exact measurement was. Massachusetts and Connecticut got hammered with close to 3 feet in spots and a lot of people without power. Shore communities mostly I guess. I'm thinking we got off pretty lucky, but don't tell my dog that. I took him out early on Saturday morning and the wind had drifted the snow up to about half-way up on the door. He turned and looked at me like "What, you expect me to go out in that?"

Around thirty inches of snow from Friday to Saturday! Yay! Governor banned non-essential traffic from 4 pm Friday to 4 pm Saturday.

I hate this weather. Even got a dusting this morning.

Nada. Nothin. After all that. Rained a bit. Sun was out the next day.
