But at the end of the drive you get Canada, so there's that!

No offense, Bev, but I'm not sure it's worth the 6 hours of boredom to get there!

And you have to change over from 'Ayuh.' to 'Eh.'

No problem there. I use "eh" a lot more than I do "ayuh" anyway.

It's just about the worst most boring drive there is in the entire lower 48, it's pert near kilt me every time I've driven it, well, after the first time, when even then the expectations weren't really all that high to begin with.
I drove that round trip almost every week for four years. That's where I really became addicted to audiobooks!

As long as I've lived in Maine, I STILL have never seen a moose other than in a zoo! Have seen deer, black bears, fox, and other wildlife right in my back yard, and I've seen moose tracks in my garden so know they're around but never been in the right place at the right time to see one up close and personal. Still hoping to someday.

I remember one afternoon a moose and two calves came into our back yard and right up to the door. If I'd been standing on the back steps, I would have been able to touch them.

Then there was the time I was down at the waterfront (Bay of Chaleur, a mile from our house) and I saw a moose come out of the woods and go into the water and start swimming! That was a memorable sight.
