I'm with you. My initial reaction was to go with Morgan Sloat but my mind kept going back to Percy so I voted for him. Little evil weasel. He reminds me of the weasels in the Stand.

Mr. Jingles is one of my favorites in the SKU. Not sure why he pulls the heart strings so much........vulnerability perhaps? But, damn, when Percy does his evil bit to him........I could and did just....cry.........

From the list given, I had to go with Morgan Sloat. Max Devore would have been second, maybe Big Jim Rennie. I haven't read Rose Madder or The Sun Dog so can't given an opinion on the characters from those. I differentiated between characters like Sloat and Devore, who were extremely calculating in deliberately plotting evil schemes, buffoons like Harold Lauder and Percy Whitmore, who were driven by emotion without full knowledge of exactly what they were doing and where it would lead, and those like Byron Hadley and Colonel Kurtz, who in their zeal would say "I was just doing my job."
    Sloat didn't care

who he had to sacrifice or what measures he had to go to in order to for his purposes to come to fruition, even when it meant destroying lives in two universes. He had no conscience that I could tell.

I cried like a baby. I think he represents the kindness in people who find themselves in bad situations and that's what's so horrible about it.

    [/SPOILER]
I couldn't disagree more. While I agree that Harold was just a buffoon, Percy knew exactly what he was doing.

    Sponges with no water, anyone?

I agree with Shasta. Percy was no dope when it came to dishing out his particular brand of evil. He liked it........

    Just ask Del..........

Agreed. Percy was more of a lone minion than a leader, though. He did know what he was doing with the sponge. I guess the difference is that if put in military leadership roles, Sloat would command his followers with fear and misguided admiration; Percy would've been shot by his own troops.

    I voted for Percy. Jerk!
I also hate Joe St. George, Delores Claiborne's husband. As a matter of fact I hate Joe more, with Percy in close second.

Percy. He stepped on Mr. Jingles. 'Nuff said.
