The bombers' aunt, in Toronto, is getting threats. Canadians are angry because she keeps insisting that the USA framed the boys. Why doesn't she just mourne in silence and not keep saying things like this? She won't get much sympathy in Canada if she keeps dissing the Americans. Nobody should threathen her, but tempers do rise after a tradgedy like this.......

    Quote from staropeace's link.

Maret was shocked to learn that by Thursday, the boys she hasn’t seen in five years had been named suspects in the finish-line explosions that killed three people and injured scores more.
so much happens in five years. She's thinking of a 14 year old and a early-twenties.

...that's my point...make absolutely sure "the work" gets done...and he, and any others are prosecuted PROPERLY...

The Miranda warning has been in the news a lot lately because it's not being used as much any more. It seems it's more the exception than the rule these days, anyway. The Wikipedia article has a lot of information about when it is and isn't used anymore. Wikipedia reference-linkMiranda warning (I always feel like John D when I use that tag. Just taking a minute to be sad before I move on.)

Also, I was hearing today that the younger brother shot himself in the throat in an attempt to not be taken alive (awkward sentence, sorry.) So, it's possible any Miranda warning, even if it were appropriate, wouldn't be needed as he may not have been communicative anyway. I don't know if that's true, that's just what I've been hearing today.

This may be one of those cases where the media has made a mountain out of a molehill because they don't have much to report at the moment.

Trust the media to be jerks about it..saw on cnn a crew that tried to slip past the police cordon to get close to the scene of the arrest so they could be cool and have the video..which almost got their fool heads blown off as they were in the crossfire area where police rounds would go..

GNTLGNT, not sure why, but I misunderstood and thought you were saying something completely different.

yes, this. And they don't usually know what they are talking about anyway.

Couldn't have said it better. Actually, this describes the media pretty much all the time!

The person who got carjacked said that they admitted to being the "marathon bombers", surely this testimony will come into play if this guy decides to deny everything.

Friends of Boston's bombing suspect - shocked by recent news -
    Can't believe Islamic martyrdom's a fate he'd choose.
Cambridge Rindge & Latin classmates say their friend, Dzhokhar,
Was a scholar, stoner, and a high-school wrestling star.

Popular with fellow students; never gave a clue
Bombing Boston's Marathon was anything he'd do.
FBI has questions for him - before rights are read.
Dzhokar tried to kill himself but shot his throat instead.

Looks like he'll stay silent now; forget Miranda Rights.
Any statements from Dzhokar will be the ones he writes.
    John McCain and Lindsey Graham say he's an enemy;
Want to take away protections granted you and me.

    I think it's a bad idea and isn't Boston's style.
Even British redcoats got a fair and open trial.
Kudos to our law enforcement; well and bravely done.
Please don't stumble at the end or terrorism's won.
