    like first year broacasting school students making their first attempt
    ...everyone startes somewhere...and being a veteran broadcaster, I can tell you-the live mike WILL get you at least once....(or in my case, ummmm "several")....

    Yep, one of the vet on air personalities at Lite Mix 99, a bit before Iworked for th' moonstah Clear Channel, got busted for some open-mic cussing while he was trying to record a voice track....

    Shortly after his arrest, Phillip Garrido, the monster who kidnapped Jaycee Lee Dugard, was being held in jail a few miles from here. Garrido asked a news anchor from our local station to come and do an interview. Right before the interview began, the newscaster and camera man were caught on an open MIC saying what a big boost this was going to give their careers. It was SO insensitive and tacky! Oh-- and years later, the anchor's still stuck in Sacto doing small time stuff.
