...a lot of people think the show was corny, but you know what?....it was quite far ahead for it's time in at least one respect-a single Dad raising a child...and also, a Dad who wasn't afraid to show emotion and that he loved his son fiercely and wholly...the morals were good etc....yeah, you could say I liked it...

What a sissie! He could never be a Roland type. Although, he might be able to play Johnny Depp???

I used to spend days with my grandmother, and she always watched this, so I can probably still recite episodes. It really was a good show, I like that even though he was so awesome he tried to solve problems without violence and still commanded respect.

Back when I was reading The Dark Tower, my casting choice for Roland was always Jim Caviezel. It still is.

Jim Caveisel could work really well, and make a great ROLAND!

I hope you meant that comment 'tongue in cheek'. The person you are replying to is from the Ukraine so I imagine that English is a second language for him?

Anyway - here is a caricature of Javier Bardem - this is how he looked to me in Skyfall (only with blond hair)

I hope he turns down the role (just my personal feeling) but perhaps he could do something with it? He seems to be best at playing the villain
