Just recently started watching the show. Started watching it on Netflix at the start of the 2005 series. Its a good show, but the way the characters come and go is interesting. Like Rose, for instance.

I've only watched a few episodes of this show off of Netflix, and my husband was giving me grief the whole time. I really want to watch these shows because everyone that I have common interests with loves the show. I do believe once he goes to be tonight and after True Blood I shall attempt to watch this show again. How many seasons of this show are there anyway?

Doctor Who will be celebrating 50 years this Fall. I've been watching since 1963. It's more the current doctor than season. This Fall will be the 12th Doctor.
On Thanksgiving Day they'll have the 50th Anniversary show and Christmas Day-- a tradition, will be a special. Ck out BBC America- Doctor Who for info. It is an awesome show. Everyone has their own favorite Doctor(s).

Capaldi was great in The Hour and he played the W.H.O. Doctor at the end of World War Z. He was also in Torchwood. Good choice.

I also think Capaldi will be a great doctor. I hope he sticks around for a few years since time lords are limited to 12 regenerations. Whoever follows Capaldi will be the 13th incarnation.

My favorite doctor will always be Tom Baker.

I think they decided a while back to toss out the 12 regenerations rule.

    That's what I understood too.

Tom Baker was really special. Made my daughter a Tom Baker Doctor Who scarf for when she attended a convention.
