Besides 2 copies each of The Long Road Home (with backer boards and plastic bags to put them in) plus 2 copies of The Endworld Almanac (with same said boards and bags) I also purchased a ARC of Lisey's Story and the UK softcover edition of Cycle of the Werewolf. And still on the lookout for more.
I'm torn as to whether to pr-order Just After Sunset or not. Is it gonna be released only in hardback in Nov.? That'll affect my decision TREMENDOUSLY!!!
I didn't actually BUY it (well, I bought the iTunes season pass) but episoes 11-20 of "N" just downloaded into my iTunes!!!!
I'm not sure if this counts but I've been wearig my new t-shirts from cafe press (not at the same time of course ) 1 says: "READ KING" and the other "STEPHEN KING RULES" o.k. I know the last one is a little sophomoric for a 42 year old mom but it makes me laugh. My next purchase is the t-shirt with the DT key, gun and rose on it.
About pre-ordering JAS (nice acronym, and all that JAS - 'Showtime', LOL).
When Duma Key was published in the UK there was a really cool keyring given away but you had to ask for it. As I didn't know about it's existence, I didn't know to ask for it, and when I discovered and returned to Waterstones they were unfortunately out of stock (boo).
I wonder if there are any promotional giveaways planned for JAS, and if details of any could be please put on the main site, so we know to make sure we get them?
I realise that this would be difficult, as they would no doubt differ from the US to the UK, and possibly between book chains as well.
Thankee big-big if this could be done, Ms Mod..
Long days and pleasant nights
I haven't heard of any but I didn't know about the others ahead of time either so will send an email asking if/what they will be using as promotions and get back to you.
my most recent purchase was Lisey's story.however,i have just ordered carrie, cujo,it,the cell,& duma kay,i can't wait till they get here!all hardcovers, too!(i prefer hardcovers, though i woulden't turn my nose up at a softcover, esp at yard sales, etc)i'm having a very happy day!
On Writing. Read it as a library book, and bought the paperback. Still rehashing, while I read "recreational" books.
