Just finished Dark Tower VI: Song of Susan. Next up The Dark Tower.

And agreeing with the above, 11 22 63 was a good read.

I am downloading the audios of TWTTK and 11/22/63 onto my kindle right now. I know what I'm doing this weekend!

Though, it wasn't technically a purchase, because I got them on the free trial thingy, but that's what it's for, right? To try it out. I have been wanting to try an audio book for a while, now, but haven't ever checked one out of the library before, because I can't really see it working (for me) in cd form...have to have it quiet so I can concentrate.

I really hope I like this way of reading! I'm pretty excited about giving it a try.

Started the Dark Tower over the weekend. Assuming that I finish this thing over the next couple of weeks, from a book perspective, I will probably remember the summer of 2012 as "the summer of the Dark Tower", after covering the series over this summer.

It really is an awesome CD, I love listening to SK! I especially love it when he puts the critics, nay-sayers (yes, that's YOU Mr. Bloom!) and other 'highbrows' to task for not being in touch with some of the great literature and authors out there. Most poignant tho is when he talks about Tabby, you can tell from the tone of his voice that he still adores her!

I'd read the speech before, so I knew the content, but yeah, hearing it is that much better. That one had been on my to-buy list for quite some time!

"Purchase?" Economy's bad, so I'm getting my stuff from the library. Sorry to Mr. King, Mr. Faulkner and Ms. Austin; only one of you is alive to make any money off of those purchases anyway. I would love to have all the Dark Tower's in their softback, illustrated graphic novel form. (Was "Wind Through the Keyhole" released in that form?)
