I'm not what you would call a crying man , but King has done it.

    The Stand -

I cried when the bomb went off in the closet & I cried when it ended the first time I read it. I was sad to be done.

    11-22-63 -

When George meets Bev & Ritchie, when Sadie dies & at the end when they danced.

    Duma Key -

    When Wireman died.

    and lastly

    N. -

Something about this story kills me. N and the Doctor are so helpless to stop what is happening to them and then the letter from the sister at the end & the email from her boss KILL ME.

I did cry during "The Talisman" when ... SPOILER ALERT ...

Wolf died. It was unexpected, and very difficult to read.

I didn't cry, but was pretty dang close when during the final "Dark Tower" novel ... SPOILERS ...

Jake was killed, and then soon after, Oy died. I don't know which death was sadder. Eddie's death was not entirely unexpected, but Jake and Oy were a surprise, thus the greater emotional impact. I was looking for Eddie to go out in a blaze of glory ever since he tore through Balazar's men in the nude. He almost seemed to have a death-wish, even though he himself probably would have insisted otherwise.

I always thought of Larry Underwood and Eddie Dean were some kind of twinners...I always picture them looking very similar in my head as well.

IT made me cry at the end. Not just because of the ending but also because I had finished the book. I could read that book forever.

11-22-63. Near the end. I wept like a baby for what could have been.

I was not quite crying, and not really a book, but the bit in The Stand miniseries where

    the other three
    are saying goodbye after

    Stu falls down the cliff
had me a bit upset, if I 'member correctly.
