I loved this book so much that I have read it 5 times at least. I think that it is one of the best things that you have written.I really wish you would write more. Will you please? I want to know what happened to Thomas what happened when he once again crossed paths with Flagg. Have you thought about making this into a movie? I think it would be a success. So eager to hear if there is a book in the works and if so when can I get my hands on it. A loyal reader, please don't make me wait as long as Peter did in the tower for an answer.

I was forced to chose a book of American Literature for my Honors English 3 class. I am so glad I chose this. It was amazing. I have read it 3 times and it is still an amazing book. I love the way it was written and how it pulls the reader in. Thank you Stephen King for sharing your talent of writing and descriptive use of words with the world. I appreciate it.

At the end of "Eyes" it alludes to a follow up book when it says "Thomas and Dennis did see Flagg again and confronted him, but that is another tale for another day." Would LOVE to read a follow up. I read this book over and over, LOVE it.

As I stated in my review of DELORES CLAIRBORNE, I read this book 2x and like the queen who choked on the lemon wedge, it still takes my breath away. Plus, (not to give too much away) it does have illustrations, much like THE.STAND, so the image of the two-headed parrot and Thomas watching his father through Niner's eyes do stick out nicely. I wish Hollywood would start making FANTASY movies of STEPHEN KING'S books. I'm still anxiously awaiting THE DARK TOWER SERIES.

i enjoyed the jeurny thrue the story as it pulled me in ...my only downward thought of the book was the length, the story was not long enough to express all the detail of the story to its fullest.

I devoured, er, read "The Eyes of the Dragon" in 8th grade, and loved it! Over the past 20 years it continues to be my favorite of King's novels (and one of my all-time faves of any author or genre). It's one of my top recommendations for the newbie King fan.

This was the first book I ever read of Stephen Kings. Actually, be it told, it was the first book I read "of my own will." I picked it up by chance and have been reading Stephen King ever since.

This is my second favorite Stephen King novel. Seriously, is there anything he can't write about? The mother-son bonding in this novel is an interestingly explored plot item, among many elements that make it a great read. It's so different from his other works, yet so great..I'd be down for a movie, let alone a sequel. Outstanding work.

I read this when it first came out in 1987. I was waiting for Mr. King to write a sequel because it was so good. I had him as an English teacher in Maine and always respected his work. This is nothing like any of his other books. Please Mr. King write more!!!!

Oh my goodness! You have no idea Mr. King how much I love this book! Actually.........I am gonna say it, although it sounds weird to say it... I fell in love with one of this novel's characters! 'Ben Staad' Yeah. This is SUCH A WONDERFULLY WRITTEN novel! I didn't want it to end! I admire you, Mr. King. I admire this novel. What a masterpiece...

This is such an awesome book with such a FIERY, GREAT STORY!I just finished it! Creative, awesome! And it'd be even more exciting, if Stephen King himself or any other movie director would make this book into a movie! ;) I'd surely watch it and suggest the book and the movie too--if there'd be 1--to my friends! ;D

I would love to see Stephen King make "The Eyes of the Dragon" into a movie. The book was so well written and I know he could elaborate so much more for his visual audiences. My listeners all agreed that this would be his next big movie hit.

This is one of my favorite Stephen King novels. I absolutely love the characters. He did a great job with this take on fantasy. And btw Zach, the Flagg is in fact the same Flagg from King's other works. Roland on the other hand was just a name used twice (although the King from Delain was briefly mentioned in the Dark Tower series
Posted By: Zach - November 25th, 2010 4:24:32 am EST
Has anyone noticed that Stephen King used Flagg and Roland in another series and this novel, but they are not part of the same series, seems he was just a tidbit lazy in the name department on this one...

The book has a special place in my heart. Thinking about it takes me back to Grade 8 when I spent a freezing winter day curled up in an ugly old armchair in the basement of our small town's public library. I loved every minute of that day. The characters in your novel drew me in and the story kept me in that chair until Mrs. Copp, the town librarian, discovered that I was still in the basement past closing time. I've often thought about your book. Thank you, Mr. King, for providing a young girl with a wonderful escape and a young woman with a fond memory.

I think this would make an incredible feature film and/or miniseries! I've been hoping for years and years that it would someday come to fruition - it seriously needs to happen. What a wonderful, beautiful, epic cinematic presentation it would make!!!

This was the first King book that I read, and it was four years ago when I was in 7th grade. Since then I have been hooked on all of his books, but this one has a special place in my heart.

One of my two favourite King books (the other is The Talisman). Escaping to a medieval castle and sitting to dine with its court of mixed refined and coarse diners, leading up to the drunken food fights...my favourite escape :)

I first read this book in 1991 at the age of of 12. I don't think one year has subsequently gone by that I haven't read this at least once. The eloquency and seemingly effortless transition into another genre always blew me away. This story grabs you tightly right away, and doesn't let go until it has run its course. Almost every time I read it I finish it in one sitting, sometimes two. I would love to see some knid of reprisal of this world in a future work. Thank you for this timeless tale!

Absolutely enjoyable. It's quick, magical, entertaining, and just a good, solid read. A great way to introduce readers to fantasy literature. I wouldn't put it up there with Harry Potter or anything, but it's still a great book in its own right.

I found this book buried deep down in a box at my father's house. It had no cover, just the text "the dragon's eyes". Curious of this book, I sat down and started to read. It was the first time I ever read a Stephen King book. And though it is not a marvelous story of great adventure, it is intelligently crafted with its raw language and interesting characters. In the end it has you reading in the same fast and heart pounding pace like it was an actual motion-picture. No need to say that I love this story. It does not lie in a box anymore; it has a special place in my Stephen King collection.

Interesting enough read when I was younger (say 13-18) but not in my league now (at 30). Interesting how King links his various books (this to the Dark Tower) and other characters oping u in various works like the Crimson King and others.

This is one of my favorite King novels! I first read this book when I was a kid, fell in love with it, and vowed to read everything else ever written by Stephen King. Something that I have never been dissapointed by. I have always wished that there was a sequel to this story. I always wondered how everything went for Peter. I know that Flagg has turned up in other places, but I would love to hear more tales from Delain.

I'm reading it and I'm not like it all. I think the book's so boring because it's too slow, nothing and everything happen at the same time. But I'm in the middle of the book, I hope it gets better.

Surprisingly Stephen King is not one of my favorite authors, although I enjoy a number of stories of his. I just happened across this book at a small used book sale and saw it was a fantasy tale by King. I hadn't read his Dark Tower series yet, and have debated whether or not to. Then I read this book, and was amazed. It was excellent. I loved it. It is one of my favorites now. And has convinced me to read his Dark Tower series, finding out that the Flagg character is also in that series as well as some of his other tales. And I guess it was opted to become a animated movie, but then it lapsed, but I guess someone else has the rights to it now and has plans for it. I hope it works out
