Salesman Bill Hogan notices an unusual pair of metal teeth in a convenience store and the store’s clerk claims they are broken and gives them to him. Little does Hogan know that not only do the teeth work, but they will save his life when a hitchhiker tries to kill him.

I absolutely loved this story... I knew something bad was going to happen to the hitchhiker. King, the way you write is totally eerie and awesome, as if it is really happening. This story is awesome, cool, and UNIQUE! Now I'm afraid of hitchikers lol -Angelo (7th grader)

This is one of my favorite stories from Nightmares & Dreamscapes. It's one of those "feel-good" short stories, which is a very strange thing to say about a piece of horror fiction, but there you have it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and revisit it whenever I can.
