I know it's been around for ten years or more now, but I'm just getting around to reading this compilation. I just finished "The Road Virus Heads North" and I am finding myself bothered by the fact that the car Stephen refers to is as Pontiac Grand Am. Clearly the car he meant was a Trans Am. It's hard to believe that nobody caught this in the editorial stage. I could not find any documentation that a t-top Grand Am ever existed, while on the other hand it was almost the "piece de resistance" of the Trans Am. I doubt any more publishings of the story wll ever be made, but somehoe this needs to be addressed and corrected . No, I am not a Trans Am freak, but mt older sister did have one when I was younger so I know the car type.

I found this story, extremely scary! I am no adrenaline junkie, but I do get a rush out of reading these stories that in a sense terrify me!

I've been reading Stephen King since I was 10 and 20 years later I still call him my favorite author. No other writer has the ability to scare me and keep me reading the way he does...I can't seem to put his stuff down once I start reading! I'm so glad my parents were big fans and passed it on to me....

I may be dense here but I couldn't get a real grasp on what happens at the end. Is his head being carried out to the car? I just wasn't certain and it left me feeling unsatisfied. I really enjoyed the story though and want to know what finally happens to the author?
