Life of Brian. I guess we were caught up in the Easter spirit.

(For all the anguished wails of blasphemy when it came out, the movie is quite neutral on the whole religious thing. If anything, it's a bit reverential at times. And it has brilliant and hilarious writing and acting.)

I thought quite the same about DOGMA. It caught a lot of flack, but if one bothered to pay attention (and wasn't put off by the language--lol) it wasn't skewering religion so much as opportunistic use of religion for personal gain. One of my favorite movies.
