Did you see the American remake or the original foreign version of Let Me In? I haven't seen the foreign one, but love the American one. Great film!

I've seen both versions of Let Me In (Can't remember if both movies have the same title or not) and it's one of those rare occasions where the remake is great. It's been a couple of years since I've seen them but you can't go wrong with either version.

I saw a movie with the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton from 1978 called "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band" - Alice Cooper was in there, Steve Martin, George Burns, Billy Preston, and Earth, Wind and Fire

It only got a one star rating (weak plot) but I taped it just because I love the old Beatle's tunes.

It's so horrible, it's worth seeing. It's unintentionally hilarious.

I think you may be right - it's so bad it's good. My brother used to love B movies and I never really got it until just recently

Let the Right One In is superior, and I can say that because I have not seen the American version =)
I love the American version, it is also really great. They both are equally good, I guess.

I have seen The Quiet Ones in the movies. Not the worst movie I have ever seen, but far from good... now there is too many movies about demon possessions, I think, and they are all the same. The bad idea was to put "from the creators of The Woman in Black" on the cover, as it has nothing in common with this movie and seeing this phrase I was hoping to see a good horror movie in the end.

The Place Beyond The Pines (2012) Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper

An absorbing 3 act drama. I can't say much about it without giving too much info but its about a criminal, a cop and how their lives intersect. I think the ending fell apart some but it is an excellent flick.

Out Of The Furnace (2013) Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Willem Dafoe, Woody Harrelson

A slow burner about a pair of struggling brothers in a depressed steel town that get tangled up with a ruthless crime ring. Thumbs up.

Finally saw The Dallas Buyers Club starring Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner. I can see now why Matt and Jared both won Oscar's for their performances. Jennifer was also very, very good. I avoided seeing this one until now as I knew it would be upsetting to me and it was. It actually is somewhat uplifting at the end and not as depressing as I thought it would be. Excellant film!

Captain America - The Winter Soldier. An enjoyable popcorn** romp. I'm put off nowadays by high body counts and mass destruction. But it's part of the landscape in movies like this. So be it. I liked it well enough.

And for a little twist, we turned in to an old rebroadcast of Shaft, one of the early "blaxploitation" flicks (flix?). Aside from the overacting, the nonexistent direction, the abysmal writing, and the Z-level production values, it was OK. I guess. What we saw of it. After 15 minutes, we gave up. Just wasn't the good ol' days that we were hoping for.
