I already knew that but couldn't say so. I think I may have already read it at that point, too.See, Ms Mod. I was right!

Funny lady! I have much patience, and I can wait.I won't answer anything other than I did like it.
I had been picturing Jerome as looking like Isaiah Mustafa ("the man your man could smell like" in the Old Spice commercials) and then on page 128, Hodges says Jerome has the faint scent of Old Spice aftershave! I wonder if Mustafa's image was also in SK's head when he created Jerome lol.
Good detective work, John! And there's a Krogers in Sandusky. Jerome told Hodges his folks were off KrogeringRegarding the unnamed city where Mr. Mercedes takes place, Hodges tells Aunt Charlotte that she will be able to claim her niece's body at the Huron County morgue. Huron county in Ohio is the location of the amusement park Cedar Point. The county government is the city of Sandusky.

HELP...I have just read page 151-152 and I want to knowshould I continue reading?being a dog lover
Oh a million HUGS!!!!!! Now I can go back to the book.I had the same concern. I would have been really po'd at SK if he killed another dog. I guess I shouldn't spoil this for you but I want to relieve your mind. The dog lives
Mr. Mercedes wasn't Doctor Sleep but it still has merits.
That's good to know. Thank you. I didn't like Doctor Sleep much either and have been reluctant to start Mr. Mercedes.A prefect example of how we all like SK for different things. Having read all of his novels, I feel that Doctor Sleep is my least favorite; in fact, I flat out just do not like it at all. On the other hand, I think Mr. Mercedes is a fast, fun thrill ride of a read with a lot of the typical SK bells & whistles that I love!
