This was filmed off Cape Cod the other day. Pretty awesome. Unless you are a seal

Great Whites have been pretty common up here for the last few years. Glad to see they are making a comeback.

Now if I could only get someone to go cage diving with me off Guadalupe.........

Maybe. More likely due to the great white now being protected from yahoo fisherman in the US who want to live out their Captain Quint fantasies. That and an abundance of seals since they are now protected as well.

Let me start by saying I'm sorry the guy got bit.

However, there are two very wrong things here. First, Great Whites are protected. It is illegal to fish for them. The fisherman knew what he had and should have cut the line right off.

Second, the swimmers swam right into an area where people routinely fishing off the pier. File this under bad idea......

I love sharks. Not to the extent that I would ever consider diving with them, I'd crap my swimsuit.

The only time it would be justified for us to kill sharks would be if they got out of the water and started killing us.

They are having a Great White Safari trip off of Cape Cod to try and observe sharks, whales, seabirds, etc. The trip sold out in a few hours. I'm #17 on the wait list
