I don't know how long it has been since Mr. King went to a "big-name" concert, but I haven't been to one yet that opened with the main act. Since Brady intended for the fans to hear some of their favorite band playing before "the event", they should first have had to sit for at least an hour for an opening act, and then time while they changed the stage setup between bands. So that would have given Bill, Jerome, and Holly at least an extra hour to play with. Just saying.

Well I got the impression that it wasn't a big, big name concert. More of a pre-teen, wanna be big someday, kind of concert. So no opening act needed.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story anyway. Welcome to the board!

I was hoping you'd use him for your avatar again, so I sneakily put him in my post!
It worked! I'll always think of you with the bowler hat avatar!
....I couldn't get him to work before, but happily-this time it took...and I agree sweetheart, he was and is a big part of my Board persona, and I'd missed him...lil bug-eyed steampunk anyway!...

I guess so.... And it turned out not to make any difference anyway. But it still bugged me for some reason. Loved the book, though. I'm glad to see SK branching out into a new genre!
...indeed, and as has been mentioned...not every "headliner" has an opening act....seen some monster bands in my day, and the whole two to three hour show was them...
