This is really not a purchase, but I won a $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble from my work. So excited to see what book to add to my collection or maybe preorder Revival. So many choices. The only reason I am thinking of not doing a preorder is because it's fun going in a bookstore and buying on release day. I just don't know if I can hold onto my gift card that long!

Yesterday I ordered the new Cemetary Dance anthology Detours that will contain King's short story Memory. Couldn't put this up here yesterday because it was a secret! (if you aren't on their mailing list you best sign up 'cause you're missing out)

i just got my The Dark Man Art Portfolio from Cemetery Dance. It is signed by the artist Glenn Chadbourne and contains all the art on separate high-quality paper that was included in the book. It's a big item and heavy! It was limited to 500 copies.

Cemetery Dance Publications: The Dark Man Deluxe Signed Limited Edition Artwork Portfolio!

I thought about getting this one but just can't afford it right now and want to save some money for the next King limited(s) coming down the pike.

The Shining Mass Market Paperback, the newest edition. My other copy is one of the old copies with the purple cover, small print.. It's in great shape and I knew I'd have to open it wide open just to read it, and crease the binding, so I thought I'd order the new edition. I need to re read it, since I haven't read it in years and barely remember much from it. I was happy to find Amazon has a lot of these newer editions and are fairly cheap. Beats tearing up my older editions which seem to be more fragile every year!

I found the Blood and Smoke audio cassettes at Goodwill. The box and tapes are in really good condition. Only problem is I don't have a cassette player anymore! Not even in the car. I will eventually find a cheap one somewhere. The box looks great in my collection- a pack of Marlboro reds with Steve's picture on the front.

I haven't read any Peter Straub yet but I have been picking up the books as I find them;
A Dark Matter
Koko
The Throat
Mr. X

I know Koko and The Throat are part of a trilogy of his... Maybe after Black House I will give them a try.

I picked up two copies (one to read, the other for the collection) of the August Esquire. I also got a signed trade edition of Mr. Mercedes. (This brings to 96 the number of King signatures that I own.)

All it takes is to get one, then they seem to multiply by themselves. Are you on any of the maiing lists for publishers like Cemetary Dance, Grant Books, etc.? If not, then what are you waiting for? =D My mantra is also if you go to used bookstores or thrift stores, always, ALWAYS check every King book you find for a signature. I once found a perfect hardback of Insomnia at a thrift store north of Seattle in a really small town that was autograghed. Never been read! paid $1.99 for it! It can happen to you, ya just gotta be diligent.
