Okay. I need to see some sweat stained, greasy people. Julia's make-up was perfect. Her hair full and bouncy and she had on her high-heeled "Jimmy Choo's" while collecting food. Really? Still gotta rock it while you're dying?

Now, on the other hand, if she dresses for the job she wants and not the job she has (leading the town), she inspires those around her that things are okay. So, maybe she's using some psychology in this.

I think Dana misses Darrell lol

I have a question but if y'all haven't read the novel, don't read my spoiler.
I don't remember how much was explained in the first season about Big Jim's side business with the sheriff and the reverend but some of those propane tanks don't contain propane, they contain anhydrous ammonia. When Big Jim was in jail, could he have told Phil which tanks contained the aa? If an aa tank was connected to the firehouse generator, it could have been the cause of the explosion.

Maybe, but at this point I have tried to suspend any and all comparisons to the book. As we were watching Ep 5, I had to stop and tell my hubby
how funny I find it when Phil does anything except being a drug-addicted DJ with a gospel radio station
:snicker:

As a whole, I thought the episode was ok, but I did like the ending :) As for the locker,
at the Comic-Con panel, I think they said at least one person will get out of the dome...so could that tunnel really be the ticket out of there?

Heard that too and that is our theory as well, but I can't see my crawling down into that tunnel until ALL the food was gone!

See, now I am confused. You say you want Tina Turner, but you make fun of Julia's shoes? Ya know Tina would be rocking some major stilettos!:yes_pig:

And now Miss Gloom and Doom teacher
has joined Camp Julia, too? WTF?? :sigh: It's hopeless. I am hooked until the end!:m_crazy:

Dwight Yoakam seems to be the only sweaty, greasy character. ;-D

lol... I'm trying to suspend any and all comparisons to the first season :) It should probably bother me more that the storyline in the first season seems to have been scrapped for the most part and begun again but it doesn't. I like the new direction the story is taking. I never really got that "the monarch will be crowned" theme.

I know! It's like during the hiatus the writers said "hmmm...that was kinda pointless. What else can we do?" LOL

I believe what happened is that SK stepped in, wrote the first episode of the second season (which coincidentally was the best episode ever) and the writers kind of picked up from there.
Yes! Loved ep1 se2!

I agree! It was by far the best episode the show has produced!

Just popping in saying, Happy Under the Dome day! Let's see if they dig more into that
locker/tunnel
and maybe find
Lyle?

Do y'all think
that tunnel has been there for 30 years? Maybe it was Junior's mom's locker 30 years ago? Lyle had best be ok! Losing Lyle would be like losing Daryl :(

I think so!
Where was Melanie's body all this time? Was it in that tunnel? When she appeared, did that tunnel appear there at the same time, too? I mean, isn't that part of the reason why Angie died? She was near the locker and Melanie was at the school the night she died?

This sounds really twopid lol but...
I think Melanie's essence or shrunken body had been inside that egg for the last 30 years and was released when Julia dropped the egg in the water causing Melanie to expand like one of those cheap towels that are sold in plastic eggs :) There's just no telling what "as seen on tv" product will set off SK's imagination lol. I agree with you about why Angie died :)

Oh not at all! I think you're on ton something. :)..
if I recall, when Melanie died...she was still holding the egg, right? But I definitely think Melanie's reappearance has something to do with tunnel/locker???
