According to IMDB (which I know isn't always reliable), filming has wrapped on MERCY. If this is in fact true, and the release date is still scheduled for sometime later this year, where are the trailers? Are they still fiddling with the movie in post production? Is it a matter of the studio wavering on theatric vs straight-to-DVD release?

I mean, if screenwriter Matt Greenberg can do with this what he did with 1408, it could make a killing at the box office. (They should let this guy take a shot at Warner Bros.'s IT script, too.)

No idea--we're not involved with this production.

The production company behind it, Blumhouse, has a stack of completed movies that were supposed to be out over a year ago or longer. They basically shoot movies non stop on extremely low budgets, and have had a lot of success with the "Paranormal Activity", "Insidious", "Sinister" and "The Purge" series of films, but aside from those they have many more sitting on the shelf waiting for release. They have an exlcusive deal with Universal now though so hopefully somebody up there will at least send it to VOD/DVD at some point soon.
