Hello everyone, hope you are all well. ((((The Board)))).

Just dropping in to say don't panic and think I've gone a'wandering. I'm flying out to Portugal tomorrow for our holiday and won't have internet access etc (am I really the last person on earth who doesn't have, or want, a smart phone!), so will not be on here for a couple of weeks. I will look forward to catching up with you all when I get back. :biglove::biglove:

# 1 - I already know the answer - it has to be hot, in a teapot preferably and served with milk (not cream) and honey (not sugar) - that is my perfect cup of tea!
# 2 - I have some peppermint oil - excellent idea and thanks!
# 3 - mustangclaire - sounds wonderful! We forgot our laptops on the trip to Mansfield and we actually survived without them! (plus I was too cheap to use my phone due to the "roaming fees" for internet) - I hope you have a great time - Bon Voyajee (as Bugs Bunny says!)

As important as age is the developmental status of the child. Some kids are brighter at 4 than others are at 10. The best thing to do would be to contact your local school board and find out what their guidelines are. You can also have your child tested to see where she is on the developmental scale.
If everything determines that she's too young to start school, there's always the preschool option.

Thanks LL i feel like she is smart and well behaved for a 3 year old lol. I will be contacting the school board though :)

I was six years old and started school in grade one (not kindergarten). As a result I was very shy because I had been kept at home with just my younger brother for company.

So maybe it would be good for her to start school as soon as she is ready!:watermelon: (as long as she is mature for her age) - 3 years old does seem a bit young to me but I am a little "old school".

What Lepplady said does have some merit - maybe start with preschool?

A rare phenomenon limited to the Ozark Mountain region in which thin layers of ice are extruded through the stem of dormant, unbloomed flowers.

Occurring only in the early morning late fall, early winter hours – it’s said, to witness a frost flower is to look directly into the eyes of the Divine.

Preschool allows kids to get used to the social atmosphere of being in a group like that before the "real" thing starts.
:cool2:
My mom talks about how traumatized she was when she was in first grade because she didn't attend preschool or kindergarten. She said when the bell rang for lunch, she walked home thinking it was time to leave for the day and how embarrassed she was. She laughs about it now, but how sad is that?!
