Hi! I finally feel settled in enough to browse the boards and post again. My husband and I went to London, Edinburgh and Dublin and had a blast! So much history, so much food and so much drink! Luckily we averaged walking almost 10 miles a day in our touring or I would have come back with more than just a few pounds extra weight on me.

I feel so behind in the SK world. I haven't see Big Driver nor have I read the Revival excerpt yet. I haven't even peeked at the board's Halloween story! So much catching up to do!

A big sorry to mustangclaire! I sort of promised I would do a food blog of my trip as we went along but I just never got around to it. So sorry! I will recap some of the highlights though when I get a chance.

One of the most impressive sights in London was the ceramic poppy art installation outside the walls of the Tower of London. Wow! This is to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of WWI. It is called Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.

Glad you had a good vacation. Next time you're in Dublin give me a heads up before. I'd love to meet up. You got the best Autumn weather we've had in ages.
I had no idea you were in Dublin doowopgirl! Darn!

We really lucked out; the weather was great in all 3 cities; hardly any rain (which we have had now for 2 straight days here in NJ where I live).

Yes, it does! I didn't want to say anything to see if anyone else picked up on it.
Just wanted to let you know that Centipede (it's the same publisher that did the exquisite edition of 'Salem's Lot a few years back) Press has done a six-volume hardback edition of The Blackwater series!! It's abit $$ steep for my taste tho, especially since it can't be signed by McDowell.

Hmmmm... I'll have to look that up. I'm on the last book right now. I don't want it to end!

Wasn't Edinburgh great? I love that city. I'd move there in a heartbeat.
Welcome back! The picture you posted of your husband at tea time was really sweet. :)
Yes! We would too! It is so charming snd the people are lovely. Our hotel was in a very quiet neighborhood that bordered on the Stockbridge area. For the five nights we were there, it did feel a bit like we lived there.
