I like the concept if its done well. Maaaany books have been written about it but some of my faves are these beneath. Do you like it and do you have any faves?
Stephen King: 11/22/63 Here the timetraveling is done by a kind of gate.
Diana Gabaldon: Outlander Same thing here and it is, at least at first, not voluntary.
Connie Willis: The Doomsday Book Here it is machinery that is used to send a historical researcher back in time.
Harry Harrison: The Technicolor time machine This is funny. Here a moviecompany uses it to make a movie about the discovery of the americas by the vikings.
Robert Heinlein: The Door into Summer Here it is more about long sleep but it has borders with a timetravel novel.
Robert Silverberg: Up the line here it is taken seriously, a lot of paradoxes but in the middle of the story is a man whose job it is to guide tourists in time.
Paul Anderson: There will be time Here the timetravel function is a genetic thing that the few who has it has to learn to use and to use right.
I know that there are many more like for example: Wells The Time Machine and there is a great one by Philip K. Dick but i have forgotten the name. Then there is books like Eric Flints 1632-books but they are more of a relocation in time than about timetravel. they cant travel. They are more like stranded in time.
