Faithful to her King.....
LOL Neesy! Nice one. I'm good Frank, thankee sai for asking :) \
Um, Vassar and I don't remember the name of the charity but I remember his word of advice to the graduating class... "Stay in Maine, stay in Maine, stay in Maine." OH wait, and to GO OUT BROKE! You come into the world broke and you go out broke so give away what was it 10 percent of your pay or something like that. ;) But that still doesn't answer what charity. Hmmm.

Excellent answer!

The Charity got 20,000 bucks and he encouraged others to give as much as they were able to afford.
I think it was called "Duchess Outreach" but that was back in 2001 so not sure if this organization still exists today.

Couple questions, Is this the same thing that was on the old forum where we got point totals and the lady (forgive me for I have forgotten who it was) made the awesome bookmarks as prizes? I still have my "Creepshow" bookmark and its the only one I will use when reading King. I love it.

Second, what is the theme today?

CJ got the bookmarks from somebody else, who made them....

I remember that the person who made them had a whole list of them and a page with them pictured. When you won the game, you got to choose one. It was fun and I enjoyed it. The custom bookmarks you could tell was done with care and detail and looked great. Be cool if we got something like that going again.

It's been a while since anyone posted a question - hope it's okay if I post one.

What were the names of SK's parents?
Nellie Pillsbury was his mother (I think) - this is without doing an internet search.

I guess his Dad's name was Mr. King :D

Okay - I checked the stephenking dot com biography - his Dad's name was Donald.

Okay - it's been a while since the last Q&A. Here's another one.

After leaving the Merchant Marines, what job did SK's father have?

Sorry to lazy to look up the answer.

Found a picture from the show where they looked up Stephen King's ancestry:

But I don't know what he did after leaving the Merchant Marines yet.

Or I could post the answer and ask another question, if you guys (and ladies) want. Especially since I don't know if it's an answer someone could Google. :umm:
Go ahead! (please) - I think the only book similar to the one you are talking about (that I own) is called "Steven King Goes to the Movies"

:encouragement::yes_pig:

Actually I just checked and I have a slim volume called
'The Stephen King Quiz Book" but it is mostly about his novels, not his life.
