I think and hope that Rick meets up with Morgan again on the road. Lennie James is so impressive.
I agree. I feel bad for hoping that his AMC show (LOW WINTER SUN) tanks, but I think he'd be a great addition to WD. Another 'elder statesman' type, since
Hershel is gone
. Everyone else seems to be quite a bit younger than Rick (aside from Carol).

I think BH = beloved husband
LOL! "Beloved Husband"--holdover from other message boards :) I used to use "DH", thinking it was Dear Husband, but learned most use it for Damn Husband. Though that's appropriate sometimes (haha), BH works better for me :)

I am clearly totally not-hip!!!

Too Far Gone - is a most apropos title.

I'm done with this show.

Is this all TWD has to offer? Endless iterations of side characters having a moment and then being sent to the chopping block?

Somebody, somewhere has to be searching for answers and striving to make things better.

I want to see a zombie/apocalypse show that focuses on those characters not the Dead End Ensemble TWD favors.

I think most of them are trying to make things better.....

This show seems incredibly realistic to me. Not some happy fantasy where everything turns out all right. These people are fighting for their survival in the only ways they know how.

People die. And in extreme situations a lot of people die. Loved people.

Be done with the show if you want. You should be because you clearly want something different from your programming. Me? I like the dirty reality of the show.

I think, for the most part, it's fulfilling Kirkman's goal when he wrote the comics--not to focus on gory zombie stuff (though that happens often enough), but to show how people react and change under extreme conditions.

I can't see a whole lot of happyjoy times for anyone, in that situation. One thing I do think the show is going to have to get past is the formula developing of one good thing happening, a shot of someone remarking on what a good day it is, then chaos occurring. Not that it isn't possible (even probable) for that to happen in real life, but in a narrative you can't be repetitive or you lose the reader/watcher. Repetition loses its emotional 'purchasing power' if overused, and the reader/watcher starts to just roll their eyes when they see the emo cues.

If you've read the comics (and I suspect you haven't), you realize that the show is far kinder to it's protags than Kirkman is to their graphic novel doppelgangers :)

I don't care. I like both incarnations :) Though last season had it's moments (particularly the brief return of Morgan), it was pretty weak overall--got away from the basic premise. This year is superior (so far), and I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Best of luck finding something you like better, OD. :)

I love how they circled back around to something closer to the comics.

I believe that TWD started out with my interest in Frank Darabont and his works. The show is not perfect, but still enjoyable to me. For me it is the best of both worlds-characters and storylines. Yes, sometimes it seems a bit stretched-but for the most part it is good entertainment for me.
