Faithful to her King.....
I wrote this bunch of years ago. I hope you guys dig it, as much as I do! Merry Christmas SKMB'ers, Ms. Mod & the gang and to Sai Stephen & family. :)

Ode to King

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
not a SKMB'er was lurking, not even Mr. Jingles.

The words of Blood and Smoke were playing in our ear,
with hopes that St. Stephen soon would be here (insert name of evil town).

The children were shackled all snug in their beds,
while visions of Raymond Joubert danced in their heads (EEEEEEEE!)

With Gramma in her 'kerchief and Church in my lap,
we'd just settled down for a long winter's nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter!,
I sprang from the bed with claws in my bladder!
(DAMN CAT!)

Away to the window I flew like a flash,
stubbed my toe on the bedpost and
fell down with a crash! (Expletive!)

When what to my wondering eyes should show up
but Stephen King himself and friends hoisting a cup.

He whistled and shouted and called them by name:
Now, Roland! now, Susan!
now, Cuthbert and Annie!
On, Brutal! on, Coffey!
on Stuart and Frannie!

"Lift up your glasses, let's give a good cheer,
We have Maerlyn's Rainbow, no need to show fear!"

"Hooray!" they all shouted as I hid from their sight,
Not wanting to be discovered by the m.o.o.n. that spells light.

He threw down his cup and got back on his Harley,
I thought to myself, oh man, this is gnarley!

As his characters swiftly jumped back on the sleigh,
I yelled at him, "Hold up, don't go yet, please stay?!"

"I'm your number one fan, will you sign my collection?
I'll be in your debt and show you affection." ;)

He smiled, came over in great, leaping bounds,
"I better hurry" he said. "I've got other rounds."

As he signed them with speed and careful punctuation,
I whispered to him, "Merry Christmas, Steve King" --with great adoration.
