Well, Dad, welcome to parenthood. I know you and your lovely bride have enough drama but the kinder would not feel whole less they add more stress. Is this the original girl, or another? Don't mean to be too nosy. But, do know that, been there, done that, the issues will be all over with time. ((((GNT/TRACY))))
...same girl...and he has made his decision at the 11th hour...we were "informed" via text, that she and her dad would be picking him up at the airport today and that we needn't be there...Happy Holidays to us!....

Aww crap, bloody kids--they could do with a kick up the bum sometimes. :( (((You guys)))
He'll see one day, Scott.. there will come a time when he makes this right with you. In the meantime you and Tracy just have to hug each other tight and try to remember that age plays a big part in their decisions... he's no adult yet, still on that learning ride.

I also was hoping that being in Basic Training would help him appreciate his parents more and teach him to respect his Mom and Dad - I know I came out of there with a better appreciation of my parents. That is very sad, Scott. Like Flake says, give him time! :culpability:

The highlight of my year is pretty pathetic actually - it was going to see Paul McCartney in concert this August and taking my son with me. That was the best concert I have ever been to in my entire life.

As far as personal growth, I have learned to keep my mouth closed and my ears open (most of the time).

Oh yes - I just remembered! We got to go to Mexico in January for my oldest son's wedding which was a real treat (how could I forgot that?)

My special needs son got a girlfriend in February which was totally unexpected and she is a lovely girl (she actually slept in our spare room last night for the first time). They seem to be happy together.

Andy is making good money up North and enjoys running the kitchen at the Lodge up there. I guess it is true that "absence makes the heart grow fonder".

And I got to post for another year on the SKMB, making new friends and forging closer friendships with older members.

Don't shoot me, but I think a highlight would be the rolling out of the New Board - sure it has it's glitches but overall it runs faster, which I appreciate. Thankee Jordan!
