Just joined the SKMB. Living in the Netherlands and happy to visit Boston (21/9-28/9 2015). Also planning on a long drive to Bangor on the 22th (2x 4 hours trip). Getting some pictures from "the Masters" home - hope to shake a hand (any idea how I can improve my chances). Visiting Salem later that week, to "do the masters work".

Some introduction - during my exam year (ages ago) I hated reading Dutch books. English however was another matter. It was also the period that I learned to know Stephen King - reading the Shining, as part of my reading list (English finals). Still reading English mostly - especially after being disappointed with the way the translation of "The Stand" was cut in the Dutch translation. I haven been trying to catch up with all Stephen King has written, and can barely do so.

Sorry to disappoint, but the chances of getting the handshake (from Stephen) are slim to none but hope you have a good time in Bangor otherwise and welcome to the Board! :smile2:
:shake:
He says he hopes to "shake a hand" - doesn't say exactly who, though - I am sure the friendly folks in Bangor (Bangorites:umm:) will be happy to oblige?

Welcome to the SKMB Ard den Outer

Good question. Don't think I've ever heard anyone from around here being referred to in that way. Most people say they're "from Bangor" rather than using a noun to describe their city affiliation.
I am kind of partial to Ban-gorers (Bang-gorers?)- sounds sorta Stephen Kingish, donchathink?
