Mullets were great - Patrick Swayze had one! That look was pretty popular when I was in school. I'm not sure how cool my Members Only jacket and parachute pants were....and my mullet...
I think Swayze's mullet looked a helluva lot cooler than mine or any of my friends. If you look at any of our group pictures in my senior high yearbook, it looks like we are all headed to a Def Leppard concert....Mullets were great - Patrick Swayze had one!
ha ha ha "business in the front, party in the back"
How old are your girls? It would make it easier for me to be there if I could bring my youngest. But I'd have to convince her there'd be something for her to do.I'm really hoping for Ohio! A place I can actually drive to with my daughters!
I'm taking the GNT guided tour......just sayin'...I believe it was Tiny who was questioning what else there was to do in Ohio, since "Shawshank" was the only connection...in the Mansfield area alone, is a ton of shopping...Malabar Farm(Home of novelist Louis Bromfield, and the site where Bogie & Bacall got married), The Richland Carousel Park(an all hand made/built wooden carousel and to name but one other of many attractions-one of my favorites, Kingwood Center...
...see below...the Carrousel is great for all ages...Tracy and I have ridden it many a time...How old are your girls? It would make it easier for me to be there if I could bring my youngest. But I'd have to convince her there'd be something for her to do.
...Kingwood is where I took Tracy on our first date...it is truly gorgeous, a private estate-turned over to the city and is essentially a "garden museum"...it will literally take ones breath away...I'm taking the GNT guided tour......just sayin'
Very pretty! I'm thinking I'd probably have to spend a day at Cedar Point while I'm up that way...see below...the Carrousel is great for all ages...Tracy and I have ridden it many a time...

Sounds awesome!...Kingwood is where I took Tracy on our first date...it is truly gorgeous, a private estate-turned over to the city and is essentially a "garden museum"...it will literally take ones breath away...
What a thoughtful first date! I think mine (with my husband) was to see Silence of the Lambs and dinner at Pancho's....Kingwood is where I took Tracy on our first date...it is truly gorgeous, a private estate-turned over to the city and is essentially a "garden museum"...it will literally take ones breath away...

Are you bringing a daughter too Sunny? This trip is starting to sound like it might happen for me if there are kids there. My daughter absolutely loves carousels!!!
Have you read the story "You Know They Got a Hell of a Band"? - read that or watch the video - there is your answerHey guys. Any idea how long this will be yet (a weekend a three day weekend or just a one day event)?
This looks exactly like a girl (civilian) who worked with the Military Police in the office back in the early 90s! (maybe they were behind the times in Edmonton, Alberta)Oh no - you're mistaken that look (which was the British punk look, I think). This is rooster bangs (this pic is not me BTW - I wish I did have one handy of the rooster bangs I had though - I had tall, tall, rooster bangs).
Ohio seems like a good choice at this point. Now if only Stephen would fly Ms. Mod there by private jet (with an armload of signed books for us all) Hey - no harm dreaming, eh?I'm taking the GNT guided tour......just sayin'
Girl my rooster bangs were so tall they touched the roof of my 1978 Ford Pinto (I was so cool). This looks exactly like a girl (civilian) who worked with the Military Police in the office back in the early 90s! (maybe they were behind the times in Edmonton, Alberta)
It will depend on if it's her dad's weekend to have her, but if it's my turn she will come with me. She will turn 13 in JulyAre you bringing a daughter too Sunny? This trip is starting to sound like it might happen for me if there are kids there.
