So I've sent Moderator Ms. Mod a detailed background and idea for a picture I'd like to draw of Mr. King. I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm still hopeful! Is there any way for me to know if she has read this message? I'm new here, and horrible with forums. The message I sent her was a lengthy PM. I appreciate everyone's help. If anyone has any other prudent advice on contacting him, please, let me know. Thanks!

Welcome here! There is a place to post artwork (isn't there?). I'm not sure what kind of permission you're needing and all, but I know there are lots of artists who borrow King's ideas and put them into awesome art. Anyhow, Marsha is fabulous and will have all sorts of info for you I'm sure. Meantime, secure all loose articles and enjoy the ride.

HA! "Yankin' yer pencil!" Love it! Holly, it's not permission I am searching for so much as participation. I'm hoping to have Mr. King take a photo or two for the sole basis of a picture I intend to draw, and then give to him. I have a great idea, but don't want to draw some random image. I'd like to draw this picture from a material that was taken soley for this project alone. A picture noone will look at and say, " ...oh yeah. That's Stephen King's photo from the inside cover of Gunslinger.", or "that's taken from a lecture Stephen King did in 88." I'm shooting for one of a kind.

While I wait, anyone have something Stephen King related they would like to see drawn?
Be sure and post it to the Gallery XIX, but just so you know, it has to be okayed and might not be until Tuesday. :)

Again, there is a thread in the General Discussion area where you can direct people to your work on Gallery XIX here.
