Loved the book. I am glad I got to find out what ever happened to Danny.

Only a couple of small complaints though.

1
I was disapointed at how easy Rose was to dispatch at the end.

2 Glocks do not have safeties to switch off. (Proof reader should have caught that one)

3 All of the handguns that were used were semi-automatics, but were called automatics. (Again, proofreader should have caught)

Welcome to the site Bert. Just letting you know that your thread has been moved into the Doctor Sleep forum.
Also the Glock/safety and the semi-auto/automatic situation has previously been pointed out, but thank you.... glad you enjoyed the story, I thought it was great too. :)

I'd read/heard about the safety-issue before I read the story and I never caught it when I read it. I recall reading about Glocks but missed the safety-issue altogether. What page is it on? After finishing the story I got to wondering about it, wondering if the safety-issue was in another story, Joyland. Could be that I'm simply too tender for such things and the Creator was looking out for me...pretty sure things like that happen what with all the drunks on the road.

...those are small niggling details that seem to drive everybody bat-sh*t crazy...and anymore, I think he does it on purpose-and then sits back and cackles...
Oh yeah......I can just picture it in my mind.
He finishes writing the story, and grins a huge Grinchy grin.....the cackle starts off low and escalates to that of a demented hyena.....
then tapers off and finally regresses back to the grin, and the self knowing satisfaction that this has driven someone nuts.
At least that's how it would be for me :D

Welcome BertG.
Now that I've welcomed you, I suggest you go work for a major publishing company as a professional proofreader and then get back to me on such minor details. Thanks.
