From "Doctor Sleep", Rose the Hat and Bradley Trevor. Under a spoiler tag because of what happens to little kids whose steam feeds the True Knot.

Picture is titled "Please kill me", which I suppose fits in a sad way.

It was time I drew something darker for the people who patiently waited for it.

I think it is the first time I have drawn torture. And it is to a young boy.

I think it might be too strong for some people (I guess people with children). But I wanted to do a really bad Rose, so I used the part of the book that shows her worst side. :blue:

In a way, I hope this would help a little to make the naysayers see that the True Knot are true monsters, and the scary part is that they look just like us.

Where's his baseball glove?

Close by. They will put him in his chest when they bury Brad.

And just now I realized the corpse was wearing his shirt, too. o_O

I had only checked the actual torture and not the exhumation. And since a blade may be more efficient on bare skin instead of clothed skin, I visualized him without it...

Well, let's assume the True Knot are crazy enough to dress him again once he is finally dead. They have done stranger things.

Cool, thanks. :D ;DD

It still feels weird to draw "pain", as pain is something I don't like in real life.

It helps that Brad doesn't really exist, but I know there are others who do exist and go through similar painful experiences.

So, Neesy, is this a slightly better look for Rose? :D

I tried to tone down the cover girl posing with this one.
It is a very nice drawing and you are quite talented Cesar!

I would type more but I am on my laptop and having problems with manual dexterity at the moment

Thanks. I wanted to give you a less pretty, more feral Rose.

My current lap top has a keyboard that is similar in size to a normal one, but the one I had before had a very small keyboard, and it was not cool to type long texts with that one.
Well it is still better than my phone - I switched to a 6S from a Samsung and still have not quite figured it all out.

This is an old laptop and it gets pretty hot after a while = I made need to log off soon

This is probably before your time but I used to read these comics when I was quite young:

This is what my lap feels like right now - I am holding the computer on top of my actual lap!

I had a couple of Hot Stuff comics when I was a kid (and Casper, and Wendy, And Richie). They were the Mexican editions, though, so I do not know from which year was the material they were reprinting.

I hate using the cell phone's touch screen keyboard. For a long time I went with physical keyboards for my cell phone. Even if they were small, my fingers could feel each key before pressing. In the touch screen it is harder to press exactly the one I want.

I have small hands so I just use my pinky - it is time consuming for sure.

At least on this laptop I can used both hands to type just like I do at work all day.

So now I am lying back on my bed with the computer sort of propped up - my two cats are happy as it is warm in my room. They are both Siamese and seem to love heat.

About the keyboard on your cell phone - have you tried using a stylus? Andy used to use one but then he somehow misplaced it.

Well it is 9:45 here - time to go take a bath - I worked out at the gym earlier and found a new machine to use, with a new program - it was great!:flex:

Take care and have a great night!

No stylus. I prefer to actually call people (instead of sending text messages through any of various social media apps).

And I work with a computer, so I am online most of the time. When I am not at work or at home, I'd rather stay offline than chain myself up to the web via my cell, so I don't really have to type much.

Very good!

I'm more a writer then drawer but artists always come up with the sickest stuff when it comes to representing different characters on page in comics or just in general! Sick in a good way!

Thanks!

I am no writer, but I try to respect (what I get of) the writers' vision as much as I can.

WELP!

From one creative to another, I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in general be it more King stuff, original or another author! :D Keep it up!

Your style is neat.

First instinct would be to say manga-Japan-ish style but its not. Its kinda like a manga style mixed with a more kinda Mexican pastoral art or something? Forgive me if that's the wrong term.

I know the style that it reminds me of (besides Japanese comics and old kinda text book illustrations for reading) but I don't have a word for it....not much of an art student.

But I really dig it! :D

Also good on your avatar. Ain't that Impulse aka Bart Allen?
