I would like a snail mail address for Mr. King please. **********************

this is not a joke. If he intends to let us all know which author he was ...basing the story on
then now is as good a time as any to Q us in.

I will write him a very polite letter (with actual paper and ink) and ask him
to spill the beans , or inform us that he will never do so., or say that he might
...in the future.

I ask for only clarification as to his intent .

OK ...I will ...
I thought that Mr. King must have a 'public' address where fans can send letters .
anyone got a link for this?

Does Mr. Mod answer most of his letters anyway?
so that...if I sent one she would be the one to read it anyhow?

if that is the case then there is no need for paper and ink, 1s and 0s will do ya' fine.

I consider this to be a 'serious' question (for once). I am not trying to be a doo-fuss.

Ms. Mod will pass on the address to you via PM if you still wish to write in with 'pen and paper'. But yes, the letter would arrive onto her desk, so asking via PM is just as good and a lot quicker. :)

In order to understand what Im asking and why its important , you must
first read : Dedication" and then read Mr. Kings Notes on the story.

I believe Mr. King was saying that he had a "favorite writer" , one of his all time fav's.
then he meet the guy (or maybe hear of him second hand IDK) and King was
extremely disappointed with the person he had come to ...Idolize...or "look up to" .

I have such experiences...not with writer but with some other people
most notably a "old timer" in AA Who I listened to in the 'rooms' I thought this guy
was great, I wanted him as an AA sponsor ...THEN I spoke to the guy " In the parking lot"
I was dis-spirited , crushed, sad, at what I heard the guy say:blarf:... out side "the rooms".
Mr. King would understand the above story , if he ever reads this post.:)

I should not get involved here, but what the heck!

Try this:

Mr. Stephen Edwin King, Writer
Bangor, Maine
(c/o Marsha)

I bet you that would work! I am sure everyone there knows who he is by now!

(cry pardon, @Moderator)

I could write a letter to King. My wife has fancy stationary and cool Victorian type envelopes and stuff.

I could write 8 pages of nothing but "Thank you"... then add my one question to the bottom.

loL
I should do that, too. I bet you he is inundated by fan mail, expressing their gratitude for so many great stories! :lurve:

It probably would, I kid you not! We've received mail from all over the world with nothing more than Stephen King, Famous Writer Somewhere in the U.S. as the address. Yet let one of us mess up with one of the numbers on the zip code and we get it returned. :glare:

Tiny, Stephen stopped reading and responding to fan mail even before I started working for him back in 1988 so staff has been answering the mail rather than him personally. If there's a question we don't know the answer to, we do sometimes pass it along to him depending on his workload.

THIS IS GONNA SOUND STRANGE , maybe even made up.

I was trying to guess which author stephen king was "dissapointed'
with IRL, which authir it was that inspired the fiction author in
"dedication' , above I made a guess of 'Hemmingway'. I was thinking
that he was one of Kings favorite writers of all time , but when he heard
stories from the mans Real-life, he was disapointed and befuddled.

Just today I thought of another name, a Screen writer
... Woody Allen. I thought of him (allen) as was on my way to work this mouring.
I had heard nothing about the brew-ha in the press.

It was a strange feeling to read about the contraversy ...tonight
