yo yo yo . -- who called this one? Maybe I should be a doctor.
Ghost called it right away.
I think the key here is your diet.
Youre a doctor extraordinaire... But i dont actually drink so much beer, no fun to drink alone, but i might go for more chicken instead of beef...... See what the doctor has to say.
Kurben, about 2 years ago I had to have a full GI workup for years of chronic stomach issues, which frequently landed me in the ER. Turns out, I had an allergy to three common items in my diet: beef, pork, and cow's milk. I was DEVASTATED! Not only was I as much a fan of bacon and burgers as the next girl, I had an affinity for cheese! I did not like the ER, so I changed my diet. I now eat mostly vegetarian. That's not saying that I neglect to enjoy goat cheese or boar, on occasion. (They didn't test me for those things, and they don't bother me)
Long story short; if you are advised by a nutritionist or doctor to alter your diet, you have to. It is possible.

....and in other news....
Happy inaugural Friday everybody!

I have gotten some pills that i shall take continously for a while. It started small on monday evening but by wednesday it was the worst pain i ever felt, maybe even worse then when i broke my leg some years back (or maybe itsjust that its more recent.
No beer and beef!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will wither away and die. Is chicken OK?
...what was the medication they put you on Kurb?.....I'm still not convinced it's gout......did they draw blood for a uric acid level?......and main diet causes are shellfish, red meat, organ meat, sweet juices and salt.........

I did not know that! Shellfish?? What exactly can he eat if it is that? Pasta and potatoes with chicken in bland broth? He doesn't have anyone to make that....

Something called Allupurinol and something called Naproxen (against the pain). To take steadily even after the pain goesaway to stop it from comi ng back.

...OK, Allopurinol is the normal medication used to treat gout, and Naproxen is available over the counter-it's a simple non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAID)...again, did they draw blood?.....you shouldn't be taking the anti-gout medicine if your uric acid level wasn't checked.....

Yes, seems that i had this earlier, only a milder case and I, stupid as i can be, only took the medicaments until the pain and problems went away. I understood the were to be taken only when it was going on not steadily to keep it away. Had the same mild problems in October and November but they just lasted a short while so did not go to doctor(didn't actually connect it to my earlier diagnosis) but now it was much worse. So they did not take blood now but have taken blood earlier and the symptoms were the same including the big toe..... Said a retest shall be done later.

Hope all have a wonderful weekend!!

Hope your new President in US can make good decisions for the future. Positive vibes being sent.

I have flu AGAIN :grr: I got rid of it after New Year and now it returned. I had fever last night, But thankfully it was gone this morning and I could
go to work. I rest this weekend and hopefully feel better on Monday.

Winter has been so weird. Yesterday it rained and was 5 degrees warm and today -1C the snow will come and melt and come and melt. Back and
forth. Not a good winter at all this year and heavy storms around in our country. We had a bad one yesterday but thankfully it didn't do any bad
damages. Mother Nature have forgot her chill pill again.

Have a good day. Take care and be well. Stay safe too!!

Since there are several of us on here who enjoy a craft beer or six from time to time I wonder if we could do a beer exchange? Like send one or two local beers to each other for tasting?
I love this idea! I'm not sure if we can use the board as much a forum for this kind of exchange since alcohol is involved, but I'm in! It's kind of like a "wine or cheese of the month" club.
