The Cowboys will probably release Romo this year. Actually, if it wasn't for his contract dollars (he'll probably be looking for a deal that transfers his contract at $14 million) , I think Romo would have been a good short term pick for the Jets.
Yeah.....then he could break his collarbone and sit out half the season on their team. :p

I do actually like Romo. He's just too much of an injury risk. I think he's got brittle bones, or something.

He’s had two bad years now, playing only 1 and 4 games. But before that it, being the starting QB, it was 15, 15, 16, 16, 6, 16, 13, 16, 16 ,and 16. I think he’s gotten a bum rap on the injury thing.

Some exciting and unusual moves taking place in New York. Josh McCown has been signed by the Jets as a quarterback, while Geno Smith and Brandon Marshall have gone from the Jets to the Giants. Strange to think that both of them will still have the same home stadium, and probably won't need to move house!

What do you all make of these moves? Are there any Jets or Giants fans here? George RR Martin is a fan of both teams, and will no doubt be writing about the trades on his blog any day now, in his usual brilliant, informed and opinionated way!

Personally, I would like to see Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg get plenty of playing time this year, just to see what they've got. I hope McCown has only been brought in as a mentor to the younger guys and a dependable backup, should the need arise. Marshall could become part of a formidable and entertaining double-act with Odell Beckham, which would be a lot of fun if it worked out. And Geno - I don't believe he is as bad a player as his reputation suggests. It'll be interesting to see how he develops within a healthier organisation with better coaching.
