Saludos, friends and neighbors of the SKMB. As you may (or may not) remember, I'm Artanis, third cousin twice removed of Carlos Detweiler. I'm sure you remember him. (Well, you should if you frequent the Bord and have read Mr. Stephen King's past, and present, fiction. In other words, does The Plant ring a bell?)
I'm here to tell/say/inform you that there is a new book out on Kindle, which you can find and/or get online at that place which has the name of a jungle. Amazonia, I believe it's called.
Said book was penned (actually, it was composed with a keyboard) by a member in good standing of the SKMB. I'm alluding/referring to prufrock21. It (the book) is called, or titled, if you prefer: Doors Wide Open: My Thoughts on the Master of Horror, on Writing, Writers and Their Craft. ( A bold, if pretentious, title, if you ask me, but what do I know? I do plumbing for a living.)
The book has been rated "L," for "Literary." This means you should have at least a fourth grade education in order to read it, and at least a sixth grade education in order to understand it. I have both, so I'm OK there. In it you will find essays on writers (especially Mr. King) and writing, two short stories and poetry. In effect, there's plenty here for everyone.
Enjoy it then. You deserve a break today. Also enjoy the air, the fresh breeze, and the rays of the morning sun as they caress the gentle counters of your face ... Sorry. I waxed poetic there for a moment.
That's all for now. Until next time, as Tonto might say, adios.
