A Hijacking (2012) made in Denmark

An extremely tense flick about a cargo ship that is hijacked by Somalian pirates. The crew is held hostage for a long time and the movie shows the strain that both the crew and the owners of the cargo ship company are under as they negotiate to try and free the hostages. Highly recommended - this is available for streaming on Netflix.
Thanks! I'm a huge fan of Scandanavian/Danish film, & I haven't heard of this one.

I watched Blue Jasmine and I think it's great. I am a fan of Cate Blancett; she is just as good as Meryl Streep. It's amazing how they can become characters.

I think and hope that Blancett will win the Oscar.

If you enjoy movies without special effects and enjoy good quality acting then I think this is something you'll enjoy.
MM, is that the Woody Allen movie?

Well, maybe this thread is intended for the sharing of new movies or those not necessarily already Universally known, but lately I've been stuck at home and so have spent extra time in front of the TV. They've been showing sK movies a lot the last few days. Today I watched Shawshank and Green Mile again. Yesterday Graveyard Shift and Silver Bullet were on.

Watched Limitless last night with Bradley Cooper. Did the f/x people enhance the color of his eyes? Are they really that blue? I don't remember them being so shockingly bright blue like that. Anyhoo, the movie was good although abit predictable. Interesting storyline.....
Really liked this movie. At the beginning his eyes weren't that blue so they used computer enhancement to either dull his eyes or make them more blue. Imdb pics will tell the truth, I haven't looked yet.

Green Mile...one of his best. Michael Clarke Duncan's portrayal was stirring.

August: Osage County - well acted ensemble drama populated with unpleasant characters you don't care about.
Mr Peabody and Sherman - entertaining CGI sci-fi for kids with plenty for adults
Robocop - remake with a different heart and less excess

Watched Thor: The Dark World, in 3D...3D didn't help, fell asleep, bored to tears. First Thor movie was so good, not sure what happened on sequel. Whole movie was little too much lovey dovey with Thor and Portman.

I thought they shot themselves in the foot by rushing to appease silly fangirls by adding more Loki and cutting Eccleston's (Malekith) scenes. They effectively left themselves with a superhero movie with no villain. Stupid waste of a good actor to get middle aged women juiced up. *smdh* No insult to Hiddleston implied--he's a good actor, too--but they killed their movie by playing to one demographic.
