I'm okay. First meeting was near Grand Central and the next one is near Rockefeller Center so not that close to Times Square. Steve and Owen aren't here for these meetings so they are safe, too.

Well, I sure am glad that I'd already spoken to/heard from you this morning before reading this thread!I decided to take a cab instead of walkin to the next meeting.
I ended up having to walk anyway so I earned my points.
Streets were blocked off and couldn't get the attention of a cab but didn't want to chance being late. Needed a shower when I got there--ugh! I always seem to manage to be in NYC when they're having a heat wave. The walk back was better as I didn't feel like I had to power walk but I'm counting those points, too! There will be dessert on the menu tonight.

....I'm not much of a praying feller, but I did send one of gratitude out toward whatever powers this ship of the universe, thanking it for sparing our friends and asking for healing to the injured, affected and grace for the dead.....
