Happy Wednesday to all!!

Been a busy week for me. Now I have a horse and two dogs who take much of my time and my work. But I am happy with that so
no complaining about that :)

Been a cold week here, hopefully it gets warm soon. I wait for spring to come.

I still watch old X Files series. But I try to get back to the reading soon. I haven't had much time to read lately but try to
catch up with that too.

Have a safe day and take care of you. I'll stop by every now and then.

(((all in need or not)))

Hello, everybody. :)

Ahhhhhh, the monkeys on ones back, the ever present monkeys on your back.
Today is exactly 13 months since I quit drinking, but in the last few weeks I developed another addiction - pills.
My back was acting up really bad, for a few days I couldn`t get out of bed without Milla helping me, it really hurt like a MF.
So, I went to the doctor, he examined me, said it`s some old injuries flaring up, yada-yada-yada and prescribed me percocet, 4 times a day. Yeah, it helped the pain, after a week I was almost completely Ok ( I am now ), but man, that shmitt is unbelievable addictive.
I didn`t think nothing of it popping 2 or 3 pills a day even when it didn`t hurt, I was like " what the hell, good prevention" and then I noticed sudden weight gain, even though I was doing my work out like I always do and didn`t change my diet and I also caught myself a few times thinking about if enough time has passed between two pills. Almost longing for them.
So, feck, I knew I was hooked.
I`m off them now, I had to do another cold turkey thingy, but man, for a week I was pretty messed up...can`t sleep properly, can`t eat, the shakes, the sweating...oh my God, that was a week from hell, I don`t think I had alcohol withdrawals as strong as this one.
I won in the end, but eff me if I`m gonna be taking anything stronger than Advil ever again. Maybe not even that, I have such an addictive personality that I would get hooked even on that.
If you are really not in any serious pain...don`t take the MF-in painkillers, it`s not worth it and it`s really hard to get off of them.
Other than that, we are good, as I hope you are as well, I`m working on my novel, it`s also a very harsh winter, minus 20 C almost all the time and it`s snowing every day, but I like that. Feels awesome to be writing while the weather is that bad, I feel like Paul Sheldon, minus his number 1 fan, of course. :)
Wishing you all super magical days, I`ll be dropping in here and there, I`m still around and love you all, as always. :)
Salute!

Good to see you. Scary about the pain killers. Glad you got over the addiction.

My feet are cold

Just made some soup with a beef shank, but most of the meat on it was either fatty or grisly, so there's not a lot of beef. Still I put celery, carrots, onions and herbs/spices so I think it'll turn out okay.

Happy Thursday and I hope everyone is doing okay today!

made an idiot of myself at work today. Discovered judgements that the court had done in 12 different cases wasn't in the archive though they should have been there. Wrote a note to the different judges. sending them a printout and asking them to sign that. Then, a few hours later discovered i had put them among decisions instead. Found them all but had to call my boss and say that all the fuzz was unnecessary.. My fault, heh-heh :facepalm_smiley::facepalm_smiley:. (because it was some talk about it, twelve judgments, originals, that disappeared is nothing good)Must have had an off day or something two weeks ago because i usually Never makes such a big mistake. Oh, well lets hope she (my boss) thinks that was an a once in a lifetime thing.

Yes, they do but i would not benefit from it yet. Search for me in the next gutter.....
Kidding aside.. On a more positive note, i have bought two new bookshelfes. Really need them. Will be delivered home on thursday. Have been taking the day off to let the guys in, put them together (they are from IKEA) and put books in them. Looking forward to it. Like meddling with my books creating order in chaos (seemingly at least). King will be moved from his present location to nest in the new bookshelf. I have several shelves where the books stand double, one behind the other you know, so now i will be able to put that right so i can actually see all books plus alot of new books will also find new homes in these shelves.

You know I was just pulling your leg, right?

So do these guys who you let in actually put the book shelves together for you? Or do you have to do it yourself?
