Yes, it would be! That would be super fun! I'm from Hickory, NC and we haven't visited in years but I cannot WAIT to get back there, remembering all the Goodwill/thrift stores they had, not to mention some great book stores. Makes me want to take a road trip just to go book hunting, lol. Nothing beats that feeling, the suspense as you browse through the books anxiously waiting to see those two magic words SK pop up. Very exciting!!!
I have visited Hickory, NC and I am from the UK!

I posted this in the SK-related purchases thread too, but definitely worth repeating!

Thrifting today, I snagged The Green Mile in paperback and a hardcover of Black House (75% off!) both in good condition for $2.25 including tax! =D
Woot! Great find! I'm looking for Doctor Sleep and Wind Through the Keyhole - used, of course.

After work today I quickly stopped at a thrift store. Found first-print paperbacks of Misery, Pet Sematary and Different Seasons (not in very good condition, but still!) and a first edition hardcover of From A Buick 8 in very good condition. All books were a dollar a piece-so SCORE!! :smile-new:

Have you read "From a Buick 8" yet? I thought it was very good!

Yes, but it's been awhile! I remember it wasn't one of my favorites, but I still liked it. I didn't own it, so I'm extremely excited! I'm really slogging along on my rereads. Going in order of publication and have been on 'Salem's Lot for way too long. But in my defense, I couldn't find my copy for about a month!

How is your cover to Pet Semetary???? I noticed mine is all to heck, almost seeming like it rotted on me while sitting on the shelf.. I've ran across a few of those 1st prints of PS recently and every one of them either have a missing cover or it's tore all to heck. Kind of weird, anyone ever noticed this or is it probably just coincidence?
