I know I answered this, where did my answer go?

Yes, I have seen the trilogy and my mind has changed over time. When I saw the first one, I was positive the guys did it. I think it was mostly due to the attitude and demeanor of Damien. I kept thinking, if you didn't do something this heinous, why would you smile and play to the camera like a celebrity. He was a smart guy. He knew where this was headed. And then once he ended up in prison, fought to get back out. I didn't understand why not fight from the beginning?

Now, I am starting to believe it was Tery Hobbs, the step father of one of the boys butchered. I think Damien and his weirdo friends were a convenient cover, but there is some odd things about this step dad and the case.

At one time, I thought Mark Byers had something to do with it because he was so odd.

I hope we find out who really did this.

I've seen a couple of docs about this case. I've eventually come to believe that the stepfather was the likely murderer, but Damien (whatever--can't remember his last name) just creeps me out. Still. He seems shifty and manipulative as hell. It makes sense to me that a jury would convict him. The other two kids, not so much.

If I was writing this, he would be the murderer playing a long game to mess with peoples' heads. If that turns out to be the case, I expect royalties ;)

That happened so close to home for me. I know a relative of one of the boys. It was and continues to be horrid and haunting, and I don't think those 3 teenage boys had anything to do with it. I only saw the first of the series, a long time ago, on HBO. I didn't realize there were 2 more. I don't think I could watch them.

I watch mostly horror documentaries. Never Sleep Again, More Brains, and Crystal Lake Memories being my top 3. Every once in awhile I'll happen upon something when scrolling through Netflix. Watched one on Aileen Wuornos and Jeffrey Dahmer. I'd really like to see the Paradise Lost trilogy about the West Memphis Three. Has anyone on here watched and what did you think?
I meant to quote you in the above post as well, sorry - I don't know what I did.

Tonight's doc was The Mind of a Rampage Killer. Interesting look at how some researchers are using a combination of psychology, sociology, and medical tests to suss out a way to predict who is likely to become a rampage killer, and more importantly, how to prevent them from developing. It jibed in my mind with the thread Sigmund started about whether parents of criminals should/can be sued. One boy's (he's a man now) dad made me really sad--he had no idea his son was being bullied, and was genuinely shocked to see video later.

Who is Harry Nilsson (And Why is Everybody Talkin’ About Him)?

The cast is unbelievable. If you're a music fan, watch it if you can. Hey, Everybody’s Talkin’ about him. :)
Watched this last night. It was good to revisit that music. And he did have such a pure, beautiful voice. Sad guy though. I'm glad to see he sort of turned it around right at the end.

Finally got a chance to watch Beware Mr. Baker.

My god, is that man insane! Such a talent marginalized by his addictions and mental issues. It's no wonder no one wanted to work with him after Cream and Blind Faith.
I watched this last night and just thought, celebrity definitely buys love. Not saying his wives didn't love him, but I honestly don't think he would have gotten one without that celebrity lifestyle dangling like a shiny piece of metal. Although, the one wife did bail on him when he moved her to that farm, where was it?. I don't blame her for getting out.

I personally think something was fishy with the last wife and her kids. They looked scared and really didn't want to answer the questions. Their body language, tilting away from him, said volumes. I don't think, imo, he had any problem with hitting a woman if he felt like it.

Anyone who has Netflix and hasn't watched it yet, check out Room 237! It's an awesome documentary about Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. No matter what you think of this adaptation, Kubrick was a genius and in my opinion, the best filmmaker of all time.

Doc Of The Dead

An interesting history of the movie zombie as well as an interesting history of the origins of the zombie back to Haiti and Africa. George Romero and several zombie directors and actors contribute.

One very disturbing thing that I forgot to mention that this documentary revealed is that someone is making zombie porn. ;-D There is a short segment with a non graphic clip of it in the doc. :barf:

Lost For Life

Teens who murdered and are sentenced to life in prison.

Bummer. I can see both sides...

Peace.

Parents who lost a child, mother, father, family member and want the killer to to be in prison for the rest of their life.

Parents of a teen murder who want their child to have some hope of living life outside of prison.
