I am trying so hard to hang in with this. I'm on SEason 3 and it is a struggle. I'm thinking it's just time to jettison it.

Don't give up yet :) Season 3 answers questions and explaines some stuff like the Crocker Curse and the Guard and I think the barn. I think Duke is interesting which might be part of the reason I keep watching but I really do like the stories within the story. The writers are very imaginative :)

I'll try. Duke is my favorite character! But like I said before, to me, this is like Kolchak: The Nightstalker. Although that is a very cheesy show with mediocre to horrible stories, at the time it came out, I loved it. Haven, set in our times now, just isn't working for me. I just can't suspend disbelief whereas with Nightstalker, I so totally could.

I loved Nightstalker - the old really cheesy one with Darren McGavin :) I also liked those old Friday the 13th the Series shows and Eureka! I loved Eureka, I think I might need to work on trying not to suspend disbelief lol.

I had problems with Haven at first because I wondered how Haven could stay a secret from the rest of the world but that's explained later :)

I just watched last week's episode :)

I really liked the ghostworld trouble. I never get tired of paranormal events caused by paintings and cameras. And I was happy to see Seth! He's a lot of fun, I hope he becomes a semi-regular. It took me forever to figure out why Morgan looked so familiar lol.

And we got to know a little more about Duke's past and what events influenced his "occupation" That was cool.

I gots to say... I really really miss the Switcheroo episodes. Nathan was even walking like Duke lol. It had to have been fun for Bryant to mimic Duke's expressive actions. And I'll bet it was difficult for Balfour not to talk with his hands and try to keep his face expressionless while he was mimicking Nation lol.

I hope we get more info about the mystery regarding Dave's injury from the void, and the Thinny, and Croatan soon. I've forgotten which SK novel mentioned Croatan... Does anyone remember?

I have reviewed my post to make sure it doesn't contain any story spoilers so I won't ruin the mystery for Dana cause I know she's going to get caught up in the series :)

That was what they were filming when we visited the set. It was neat to see it after it was produced. Someone would yell FLASH and the actors would react to it, but it wasn't clear to me what was going on at the time!

I got to hang out with Seth (Kris Lemche) for quite a while. The unit publicist interviewed me and he "crashed" the interview and made me verbally joust with him for a while!

That had to have been sooooooooo much fun! :)

I'm jealous :(

You were interviewed? Can we see this interview somewhere?

Ghost episode was good too. It was a hoot seeing Dylan Taylor - Eric Barber from Covert Affairs and Lara Jean Chorostecki - Freddie Lounds from Hannibal!

Lara Jean Chorostecki was on the set the day my daughter and I visited Haven. She's a lot smaller than she appears on screen. Chris Masterson was there that day, too. His brother, Danny, from That '70s Show, appeared the last time the Darkside Seekers were on Haven.

Ep 8

Duke and Mara bonding - ewww.

Lot of great guest stars this season. The aforementioned Freddie Lounds - looks so different without her poofy Hannibal Hair, Dylan Taylor, and now Laura Mennell from Alphas.

Fun to see Kris Lemche return as ghost hunter Seth Byrne from Darksiders as well. Thought maybe he and Lara's characters might have hooked up at the end of the episode.

Good episode but a bit below the others - felt a bit rushed.

Ep 9

Ewwww! More Duke and Mara bonding. Engrossing to watch but creepy. Ewwwww!

Laura as the CDC rep could blow the lid off of everything.

Did I mention Duke and Mara together being creepy?
