I read somewhere that Curry had/has some health issues.Do you think there is a chance that they'll get Tim Curry back as Pennywise? I know he's 67 .. But underneath all that make up ... Who knows?
I recorded "It" just recently on my DVR and it was four hours long (must be lots of commercials). One of these days I will sit down to watch it. I did read the book a couple of years ago and it was really quite good - not sure how I missed it when it first came outThis was my favorite. I watched the 2 part movie on television when it premiered and taped it on our family vcr, I recorded over something important like someone's wedding or something. I had just recently read the book. Then in the 5th grade, I would skip school and stay home and listen to Otis Redding Dock of The Bay and watch the mini series IT. ALL DAY.
A few years ago, I read something about a potential WB remake set in the 80's, I was really open to that idea and was excited about watching it if it happened to come true. The 50's and the 80's had a lot in common, very conservative post war times.
I grew up in the 80's reading writers who grew up in the 50's, and so the 80's feel very natural to me.
Either way if it gets made I'm in.
You didn't miss a lot, Neese, EXCEPT for Tim Curry's Pennywise. He carried the movie, and was one of the creepiest things I've ever seen. He nailed that character. I just read something interesting about that/him: that is a role that he's discussed only once--he's apparently a method actor, and stayed in character all the time during filming (!). Not only did the other actors hate him, but he thoroughly disliked himself--said that was a character that he couldn't stand and didn't want to think about again. Can YOU imagine being in Pennywise's brain for weeks on end?! *shudder*I recorded "It" just recently on my DVR and it was four hours long (must be lots of commercials).
