The above two long short stories/novellas are very good. Readable and entertaining and fun. I am a fan of photography so really loved the Sun Dog, and it has a macabre edge to it also. Secret Window, Secret Garden is chilling and a thrill ride. As an unpublished writer (except for a few poems)...I could feel the pain. Loved them both!!
Writing takes such dedication...but more than that, of course! Also love Roadwork from another collection!

I think The Sun Dog is under appreciated. I find it very creepy. Maybe being able to remember what Polaroid cameras are help. ;-D

Yes, they were funny cameras. The images were odd and flat. It's a creepy story alright, and a very imaginative one. Now digital cameras or phones are all the rage...but not as much fun...!!

Thanks so much. It was rush when it happened. But I will never give up writing, even if I never publish anything else. Never give up. One day!! Yeah, Roadwork is awesome, so very readable!

I thought The Sun Dog was the best of the four stories in Four Past Midnight. My second would be The Library Policeman. The only two not made into movies. Of course I remember the Polaroid as I am of that age. I can't remember how many times I had to type "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy sleeping dog" when learning how to type in school. That was before "keyboarding" classes and it was just called "Typing Class".
